The Piecemakers quilt show is put on with the collaborative efforts of the Huron Perth and Stonetowne quilters guilds. It is a bi-annual event held in April on even number years. The next show is April 2018.
The show is held at the Pyramid Center in beautiful St Marys Ontario.
Piecemakers Quilt Show 2018
April 26, 27 & 28, 2018
Pyramid Recreational Center
317 James St. S., St. Marys, ON
Thursday 10am-5pm, Friday 10am-7pm and Saturday 10am-4pm.
Each show the Guilds get together and with their combined effort have around 200 (or more) quilts and quilted goods. The talent of our quilters is vast and their interests vary so there is something for everyone to see and marvel over. From traditional to contemporary quilts, wearable art, bags totes, wall hangings you name it it's there.
We also have a vendors mall to satisfy your shopping needs. Where else can you shop several quilt stores all on the same day under the same roof. The vendors come from all over Ontario and each one has something different for you to peruse. As the 2014 show gets closer and the vendors are confirmed they will be listed here for you to see. There is also a boutique full of quilt related items lovingly stitched by our members for you to purchase and an amazing selection of magazines and books donated by our members.
There is a certified quilt appraiser Judy Lyons who you can book an appraisal with for your own quilts. Judy also does an old fashioned bed turning with antique quilts. She talks about what an appraiser looks for when dating quilts and has lots of information on how to preserve those treasures from the past.
We have a tea room where you can get a full meal or just a snack. Many of the fresh pies and treats available are baked by our members and really delicious.
